we had a week off from job (damn economy) and so i had a lot of free time to, well, work! y'all know i don't rest!! i mostly kept to my smaller book over the week off but then i bought some orange ink and got to experimenting!! but first..
Paid In Full is my homage to my favorite pizza place, Pistol Pete's. its no longer open and this is how i imagine their bear mascot today. the Aquaman is none other than Vince from Entourage. if you watch the show, then you understand the title. if not, then you are missing out on an AWESOME show. i've yet to see another show play so much hip hop on a regular basis. i mean NO ONE has De La Soul on their segways/transitions man.
Holly's Bubble came about just before the break. i got off work early and had this sudden urge to create. so i grabbed a photo of Holly Valance i had and got to work. babydoll is TOO fine lol.
Live Love and Lily were the first two experiments with the orange ink. Lily LaBeau is a super hot porn star and had just discovered her that night and the orange seemed fitting for her. next, considering it was orange ink, i had to do The Thing. it ended up coming out sic as fuck. and the next time The Hobgoblin showed up in the art studio and pumpkin bombed the hell outta my place--pumpkin seeds everywhere!! lastly the Native Dreams came about as an image i jus saw in my hed. i had this pic of a chick in pigtails and decided to use as a ref for this. played with blues and mixed some inks to purples and jus let it flow. it was quite the productive week..
