Late Night Creations.

so here's a few of the pieces i worked on for the Villains Edition of ArtSlam! this passed weekend. it was a blast seeing all the cool super (and not so super) villains from television, movies, comics, games, and real life. the following are the pieces i brought to the show.

The New Empire.

first up we have The Hamburglar. as a kid i used to love visiting McDonalds. as an adult, not so much lol. i mean, who likes fake food? well, apparently the greater part of the Western Hemisphere. and The Hamburglar knows this. it was only a matter of time before he would succeed in his attempts @ stealing hamburgers from Ronald and friends. but as a child giggling @ this foo on the tv screens, i didn't think he would ever take it this far. in a violent blood-ridden warpath, The Hamburglar now sits atop his newest empire. and being the fresh kind of criminal he is, he still rocks his black & whites and his shell toes. but if you look closely, you can see a couple of new things. some shiny ass rings and a brand new red wig. hmm..i wonder where he got that hair from..

next up, The Cook.

high school chemistry teacher. loving father. loving husband. caring brother in-law. cancer patient. meth cook. criminal. murderer. Walter White is long revered as the guy you root for one episode and then despise the next. as Walter, you can't help but feel for the guy, doing all he can to provide for his family and hope he makes it through his cancer treatments. as the meth-cooking gangster Heisenberg, you may change your outlook on this man entirely. hero, villain--he walks that thin line very well, often shaking the very line itself until it becomes so grey you can't help but question your own morals when you take a step back and look @ the bigger picture. New Mexico seems like a quiet state riding through on the way to California from Texas, but Mr. White--Heisenberg--he makes you think twice about exiting off I-10 to see what's really going on in The Land of Enchantment.

Accordion Folders.

lastly we have the villain duo known as Madvillain. to read more about this piece, please visit my music-inspired art blog Melodic Measures.
