i got invited to paint some walls this weekend with some great talent @ a great graff shop here in town, The Paint Yard. the best spot in SATX to get paint & graff supplies, The Paint Yard is celebrating their one-year anniversary of Meet & Greet shows. it's always a blessing when graff artists and shops acknowledge an artist who isn't a "graffiti artist" and share space. so this saturday is gonna be fun!! blackbook pieces, live music by the homie DJ Vicious, mad artists & heds coming through, sales & giveaways all day..it's gonna be a great time!!
it's dope when graff shops/artists are willing to put us on like this. i take a huge honor in an opportunity like this cause i know this isn't something all artists receive. the graff game is serious business and it takes mad work to get respect as a graff artist. to get spots like this as a more traditional artist is even harder. sometimes we go and get em ourselves, sometimes game recognize game and the hustle & hardwork pays off with bigger walls/spaces. trust me nothing is worse than knowing you're beautiful but get treated like an ugly duckling (Tech N9ne). so it's dope to be a part of something like this and be acknowledged this way.
come through and buy some paint, markers, books, clothing, etc. etc. from the shop. i will also have some DSP #2 books on hand for sale so holler @ me if you would like one or a sketch or sticker.
