Welcome once again everyone! If you're a previous follower, no need to wipe your eyes or put the Mollies down--you aren't seeing things. There are some changes that this page has taken as far as design. If you are new here, welcome to all things BLUE 731! Feel free to continue gettin' wavy and dizzy as you trek forward.
This place needed a serious upgrade y'all. I wanted to bring a bit more light and color into everything. This place also needed some improvements in navigation, layout, and overall user experience. Let's get right to it and discuss the new renovations to the site, shall we?
First, we have an updated header. I feel I needed something to help bring a new spark to the page. For those who have been here before, you'll notice that I updated my logo. The handwritten logo was fun, but now it's time for a cleaner steeze. I still kept the handwritten crown though, you know I stay true. With a fresh new logo, the next step was updating that photo. My editing skills have grown immensely since the last header and so I crammed this new, light-driven photo I took earlier this year into the space. Bam. Fresh.
Having done that, I felt the entire site just needed some general enhancements, starting with color. I've re-colored all the type, tabs, links, backgrounds, and so forth to pull away from the darkness a bit yet still be me. I could've easily gone the warm palette route seeing as how I am now residing in Phoenix, wit a phat mountain photo in the header (I have gotten some ill ones since I been here by the way), but that seemed a bit too cornball and predictable. I gotta be me regardless of my surroundings, so I stuck to the greys and blues, only brighter.
Next step was finally adding some Pages/Tabs. I did some digging and turnt 'em on and now the top bar has much easier access to my art store, my music-inspired art blog Melodic Measures, as well as links for my lifestyle brand Awake and Movin' and my photography. I still have trouble posting photos here and it seems Tumblr is still the best route for posting and queuing fliks, so I simply stuck the link up there for y'all. The SHOP button links directly to my online store for all your art needs. Prints, original illustrations and paintings, art books--the shop has it all! So please go take a look and thanks for your support. Having fixed that, I worked my way down and hit the sidebar. I couldn't seem to find a bartender to get me a steezy Rum & Coke, so I proceeded to get back to work.
I realized that some links had been changed and needed updating and I even removed some that simply weren't doing anything for me other than taking up some prime cyber real estate so, boom. Gone. Donezo. I rearranged as needed and now things are much sleeker. I even updated the Awake and Movin' graphic with proper linkage and made it a SHOP button to make it even easier for you to rock some fresh gear. We are searching for a new local printer now that we are in Phoenix, so be ready for our next releases to come this summer! Lastly, the bottom end of the sidebar remained the same as far as arrangement. Easy. Now where's that damn bartender at?...
That's pretty much it. There's some little Easter Egg joints in here so when you find 'em give yourself a pat on the back, brag to your friends, and then kick your feet up for a job well done. Call-in to work while you're at it--you need a day off to take a breezy walk in the park, skate the buttery streets of your city, or kix it wit the homies at the pad to get some serious gaming in over some craft beers and BBQ. Either way, thank you for visiting and reading. It's been great kixin' it with you, as usual, choppin' it up about thangs going on around here. Uno.
Stay Creative,
BLUE731.
