Long Beach.

I spent this passed weekend in Long Beach for the Agenda Tradeshow with my brand Awake and Movin'. It was a very wonderful experience and very inspiring on many, many fronts. I traveled dolo for this one on a Greyhound and attended an action sports industry-centered career fair while there. Some times you gotta make those big leaps to gain the upper ground. I spent the first part of Friday at the fair meeting not only top recruiters from companies like Fox and Vans, but also meeting great people just making moves toward bigger goals just like me. I spent he second part of the day at the actual Agenda Show and then Agenda: Emerge in the evening. Agenda was a blast, skating around the building peeping all the new game from Hershel and Diamond as well as finding new brands like Secret Artist. I got to meet and hang out with RIME (MSK) and DABSMYLA, three amazing artists and humorous people. Down to earth and real. During Emerge, I was blessed with stories, knowledge, and insight from Jeff Staple, Johnny Cupcakes, Bobby Hundreds, and Marc Ecko. Staple and Bobby are two HUGE inspirations for not just a brand, but also for blogging and design. I was super excited to hear that I was gonna make this one afterall. I was not that familiar with Johnny Cupcakes but was still excited to hear from him and Marc Ecko is, well, MARC FUCKING ECKO. Dude built an empire y'all.

These guys had a lot to say and delivered to a crowd of hundreds (pun intended haha). I met some other label startups while waiting and got some free ish from Johnny Cupcakes and Reed Space. The speeches delivered had me stoked to keep doing what I am doing with AAM Clothing and to do it much harder and much higher. I ate some good food at Milana's and Louis III Burger throughout the trip and I met some great people at the Greyhound stations and buses. This weekend in Long Beach and on the western roads was incredible and very much a reminder of where I stand in the world of art and fashion and how exciting it is to simply be alive.

In another city making moves and making dreams come true, I did more writing than anything. Given all the above, I hope that puts some understanding as to why I haven't posted any new art recently. Peep the Instagram though as I did spend a little doodle time the other night at home. I will post some images from the trip soon.

Stay close as things are about to change drastically very soon and as we all know, IT GOES UP!!!

Stay Creative,
BLUE731.

PS. A special THANK YOU goes out to my love, Rabbit Rye, for holding up the fort while I was gone and helped prep me for my trip with inspiration, encouragement, soup, logistics, and endless love. You are wonderful Sabrina, I love you dearly.
