Street Keeprs No. 2 Recap.

It's a new year for Street Keepers and we start off 2015 with a great meet up at the MLK March. San Antonio is host to one of the biggest marches in the nation. With close to 200K people in attendance, it is a great visual of how many people unite for a cause that is still very much alive. This also made for a great opportunity to push our skills in photography. Shooting among a crowd that size, while it is in motion, is a great way to speed the eye of a street photographer. With the march encompassing almost three miles, it was a day of heavy walking and shutter firing. We ended with about five miles of walking total, sifting in and out of the moving crowds as we traversed through MLK Drive into Sullivan Park on the East Side of San Antonio.

We had a decent turnout of photographers with both familiar faces as well as some new cats. We usually have a small handful of folks and the plus side to this is that you meet everyone involved with ease. This makes it easier to build partnerships with others. As we grow in numbers, I hope we can retain that aspect of Street Keepers because I've met some great people that I shoot and build with with regularly. Below are some captures from some of the shooters that came through. Thank you all who came out, we will meet again in about three weeks in the second half of February for a special edition of Street Keepers. Stay in tune.
