Tacos La Flores.

So Rabbit was recently commissioned to paint some flowers on a young woman's new taco truck business. Rabbit then asked if I would be on board to help to which I, of course, immediately said yes. It has been awhile since her and I have painted a wall together and this was even better! Our love for painting, taco trucks, and for each other brought us together once again. She got started on a Friday and we finished it out the following Saturday. It's always nice when someone trusts you with helping them grow their business, especially from an artist's standpoint. To trust that you will give them something they like that will help them reach a new level of success in their starting business, something so personal and so dear to so many, is a huge honor and I am always happy to do so.

Be it a musician, a new home owner, or a fresh entrepreneur, I love giving someone custom work that no one else can give them and for them to bless me (us) in return is something I love about my life and about my line of work.

Painting In Tucson.

Wednesday, Rabbit and I found ourselves on an impromptu trip to the neighboring Tuc to hang out with fam. We packed the car with some paint and headed out east for a little bit. On our way down we contacted another homie from Tucson, AKERS of GNP/UGM, to see if we could get some painting in. We showed up to Tucson a couple of hours later, hopped off I-10, and got to work right away. Rabbit and I sat down, sketched out some ideas, picked our spots, and got to work. We had a ton of fun and were happy to put in more work in AZ. Thanks AKERS and LALA for holding us up while in The Land of Two Sons. Enjoi!

So here is a collection of the first three pieces we have created at Sochu house alongside the new homie Randy Boogie. His music choice is dope and, well, here are some of the results of his awesome sounds! The first two are the pieces I rocked on my first outing to Sochu House. I went in without a plan as I love to do and drew a little creature happily in love with a hardworking woman. The second piece was a new Buddha head. I shot an image of the statue there for reference and along with the color-changing light, this colorful and radiant Buddha came to life. Much different from the other I created a long while back. The last one is a collab between Rabbit Rye and myself. We painted another little statue in the restaurant/bar and put our own colorful spin on her. Rabs did a great job on the sky and I added some mountains for that true Southwest environment we see all the time now.

Buddha Beats and Brushes.

Last night I was slated to paint at Sochu again. This time with my partner in crime Rabbit Rye. We showed up a little late but got right down to business on a new collab. Randy Boogie hopped off the decks for the night and joined us in the paint slingin' fun. Boogie is a cool dude with lots of energy when he paints and he is a great DJ. We were also joined by another artist named Iris. If you haven't been out to Sochu House yet, put it at the top of your to-do list. They have ILL pot-stickers and a great vibe. The night was pretty chill and I'm hoping we can build the night to have bigger audiences as the summer progresses. It's a great way to spend a Tuesday night and jump out the heat of Phoenix. Also, forgive my grainy photos, I'm in the midst of replacing my phone and am currently on a loaner from Geek Squad. So yeah. Cheers.
