Fishing In Lady Bird Lake For Atmosphere and Brother Ali.
Fishing Blue.
New in the online shop! I just created a first for me. Last year I made a Deftones gig poster and had it digitally printed. It was well received and I had a lot of fun making them and seeing them printed was a super rewarding feeling. So for my next poster I wanted to go deeper. I opted to make a leap and make a screenprinted poster. There are some hurdles within any printing process, but print is so damn rewarding you learn to make it happen.
For this poster I decided to go full throttle and go in as far as my wallet would let me. This poster is much larger than the last, weighing in at 18" x 24", and printed on French Paper. I've been wanting to do something on French since I first found it last year, likely through Draplin or Field Notes, and I've just been waiting for the right project to make it happen.
I love Atmosphere, straight up. I've been a fan of Slug since I was in college attending underground rap battles and participating in underage drinking. This shit was a great soundtrack lol. It's been cool watching these guys grow as artists over the years. Although I'll always favor classics like God Loves Ugly and the shift in Paint It Gold, their newest release Fishing Blues showcases their growth as artists. Last year I photographed their show with the gawd Brother Ali, as well. So when I heard of Slug's return, it was a no-brainer that this would be the project to take crack two at a gig poster.
Long story long, I used the theme of their tour, dubbed "The Freshwater Fly Fishermen Tour", to create this image in conjunction with a taste of Austin using the river that flows through our city. I will write more about the process on my portfolio page, for now you can get your poster in my online shop before anyone else. I am picking them up later today so they will even ship out sooner than expected. There are two editions, 40 & 10 (variant), only 50 total, so act quickly!
Thanks and I'll see y'all again real soon.

Awake & Moving: Roots.
Awake & Moving presents: ROOTS.
The latest goods from Awake & Moving are officially online for sale! The collection dubbed Roots has been a long journey, prolonged by relocating to Austin, building capital, and stepping my game up overall in this brand. The new pieces look fresh and it's my biggest release to date--eight pieces for you to flex on foos, piss your parents and teachers off, and get that attention from that special someone that been ignoring you all summer. Time to stunt on 'em and leave 'em wanting more.
Peep the lookbook HERE, shot entire in my old neighborhood, the Southeast Side of San Antonio with my homies Isaac and Laura. Purchase all the goodies in the online shop HERE or go to awakeandmoving.com and click SHOP. Supplies, as always, are limited and once their sold out, no mas. No reprints. So wake up, don't sleep, and brush your teeth.
I am currently planning a pop-up shop in San Antonio slated for next week, so if you ain't about that shipping life, come thru. Rumor has it some Timewheel cats will be in attendance pumping out some tunes to shake your ass to. SSHH!!!
For now, enjoy the new wares and send all feedback my way. Seriously, even if you hate it, hit me up and tell me why. Tell me why you think it's dope and you'll rock it forever or that it sucks so bad you wouldn't use them as rags to change the oil of your car with. In which case, fuck you, but also I really do want to hear what you have to say. If you ain't got a sense of humor by now, you're in the wrong place so just be cool and lmk what you think, fireal fireal.
Cheers and good vibes everybody! I'm riding hella high today!

Tyler is coming back to Austin!
I'm back at it again. This time for the oddball known as Tyler, The Creator. He is coming to Austin once again and I knew I had to make something for the occasion. I got to photograph his show last year and it was bananas. This year he is playing Stubb's and it's always a good time at Stubb's.
These poster prints are the same quality as the Deftones poster prints I made a while back. This time I am doing 20 and I look forward to sending these creations off into the GOLF WANG stratosphere.

Damn near impossible shooting anything down here without a car in the way. Austin, TX
As of Friday, you can now find my stickers and my latest mini art book "Do Something You Love Today!" on South Congress in Austin, TX at a great toy shop called Monkey See, Monkey Do!. This places has been in business for 11 years and is home to a TON of cool vintage and modern toys from old He-Man and TMNT action figures, to newer Kid Robot toys, and so many little trinket toys in between. Located in the SoCo district of Austin, Monkey See, Monkey Do! is gracious enough to have my products in their store along with so many others. Their book section is legit, too. And about a block south of Home Slice, how the hell can you go wrong? Grab some pizza and walk on over to get some toys, stickers, books, buttons, and so much other cool shit you'll flip your top quicker than a spring breaker with beaded-necklace envy.
Located at 1712 S. Congress, Austin, TX 78704.
Leave your shirt on and say whuddup to Steven and Larissa and be sure to tell them I sent you.

Do Something You Love Today.
If you follow me on Snapchat (BLUE731), then you may remember earlier this year I would post little drawings of fun characters spewing little gems of inspiration every morning. I made these little scrap pieces of paper to take phone messages at my last day-job and began drawing on them every day as a means to keep me in uplift. I would post them at the communal computer in my department so that others could see them as well. I wanted to share these moments with people everywhere in hopes to get them through a little tough patch they may be having or just make someone smile.
I was pretty miserable at my last job and these little characters were a mix of positivity for the world or things I wanted to tell my co-workers, but mostly, they were little reminders to myself. Little windows of how I was feeling at this place. I am happy to say I've since quit that job and have been pursuing more enjoyable things in life to earn a living. Although it's been tough without the security of a day-job or "steady" income, I've felt so much better spiritually and creatively.
My brand Awake & Moving is growing every day and that's been a huge blessing. Every day, every week, I am able to put so much energy into my brand that I can see it growing so much faster and stronger. Personal art projects I had been putting aside because of a lack of time are seeing fruition and this book is one of them. So I wanted to share it with you all.
I saved every one of these images without knowing what to do with them. As I was coming to the end of my time at that job, I had the idea of a book. So I grabbed my favorite images that I drew from these mornings and collected them into this little art book. I've recently changed webstore providers and redesigned the look overall to look cleaner and this book can be found there along with the new Deftones concert poster I created. SHOP HERE. Expect it to fill with new projects from now on as often as I can produce them (every sale helps create the next project btw!). Also, be sure to keep up with awakeandmoving.com as I have a LOT of good stuff coing and not just new product!!! Most recently photos of the Atmosphere & Brother Ali show!
OH!--Each book includes a hand drawn illustration just for you making each book uniquely unique. Thank you for your continued support everyone. I know you will enjoy this little book and hopefully it will help you throughout any little daily struggle you may have. Every moment you reside in positivity over negativity is a win of a much bigger fight.
So stay positive and Keep Pushin' Forward!

GoreTex.
Deftones return to San Antonio in less than two weeks and I'm excited as hell. Last week I had an idea for a concert poster to celebrate. I've always wanted to be commissioned by a band to make one of these and see them all over the world. The phone call hasn't come so I took matters into my own hands because inspiration doesn't wait--strike while the iron's hot. I started with an ink drawing and brought it into Photoshop to finish it out in color. My original idea was a lot cleaner and darker and didn't really come out the way I wanted. It was too far from my style. You gotta try new things but you also gotta play to your strengths. So I explored my loose style and the result came out waaay better.
I am producing these posters on high quality photo rag paper at 13" x 19" and will be a VERY LIMITED RUN--ONLY 15--and making them available to YOU. Below is a link for pre-orders. If these move fast enough, I MIGHT make a second edition or possibly posters for other cities' shows. But no guarantees. For now you get 1/15 chance to own one.
Cheers and, as always, thank you for your continued support!
