Fruitful Results.

Recently I have become part of a growing group of artists in my hometown that are known as Sketchbook Fight Club. I believe this idea was the spawn of fellow art jock Contra. The rules are simple. Rule #1, talk about Sketchbook Fight Club. Rule #2, TALK ABOUT SKETCHBOOK FUGHT CLUB. Ha ha. There are others, but for now the meat and potatoes are simple: Two challengers each pick a topic, decide on either pencil or inks, and then battle in the public eye. The challenging part is mashing the two concepts together coherently and cleverly while still showcasing your raw skills and talents. Voting is open to the public and the winner wins absolutely nothing but bragging rights if you're a jerk like that and enjoi rubbing your arrogance in others' faces.

Anyhoot, for Round 2 I stepped toe to toe with a guy named Joe Guillotin. We decided on cigarettes and food for topics. After sending in my entry, I was super excited to vectorize my entry and color it as well. The end result is the loafer below enjoiing the cancer stick of his choice, against the choice of said cancer stick. Not a smoker myself but I can't front, smoke is fun to draw!! I also had a lot of fun making my own fruit sticker label. Who knows, you may one day enjoi your very own Blue Blueberries from yours truly.

Cheers.

Stay Creative,
BLUE731.
