Ghost On The Battlefield.

Another piece I started back in 2011. I wanted to paint a samurai and decided to just do the armor. Then I got this battlefield idea and decided to make smoke throughout the piece to appear as if it was left on field after war. However, the more I look at it, it still had the feeling of life in it. As if the armor itself was alive. It reminded me of those warriors that just don't seem to ever go down in battle. So many wars won single-handedly that they become mythical legend and exaggerated. "He was a ghost on the battlefield..no one could touch him. And you never saw his face. Only...his sword."

Think about it.
