Shirt Herpes.

Here is the latest piece I was hired to do. The client wanted a painting of Carl from Aqua Teen Whatever This Show Is Now Called Today HaHaHa from the episode entitled Shirt Herpes. I hadn't seen the show in a while so I sought it out on the ol computertron and was instantly reminded of why i enjoi this show so much. If you haven't seen it, the premise of the episode revolves around Carl tricking Shake into receiving a possessed t-shirt. There were plenty of ways to interpret this one but one of my favorite poses in this episode was when Carl kneels at the end of his story and the sword flames up. I knew immediately that that was the pose. Carl looks the best in his tank and sweats but i had to include the shirt. As for the helmet, again, it was tough to hide that gorgeous mane of his but the viking helmet was just too outrageous.

This piece was meant as a gift from this client to her husband who is a huge fan of the show. So i dedicated the piece to him in Carl's balloon. Their faces at ArtSlam! when they picked it up was soo dope. First, it was a surprise so that was already a dope expression from this guy. After reading the quote they all erupted in laughter and he thanked his wife with a kiss. It was a really sweet moment and a reminder of what is out there. :) They all thanked me and the night continued on. Now for my ArtSlam! piece..
