Street Shooting In ATX.

Between SXSW photo gigs and our Street Keepers meet in Austin last month, I got the great opportunity to catch an immense amount of street photography. SXSW floods the streets with people of all backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. It was so much fun shooting all the wonderful people and catching so many moments and faces and snouts. The energy felt while walking the misting streets of Austin during such a crowded time is something beautiful. From rappers, to streetwear afficionados, to selfies, to random fights and ratchets, to budding and established musicians, SXSW provides a plethora of faces varying from obliviousness to moody to outright silly and fun. Thank you to all the beautiful people I photographed, if you recognize yourself or someone you know, please tag them or send them the photo. Cheers to SXSW.

Below are some of my favorite shots with the rest of the street photos up on my 500px.

A girl furrows her brow in a vain attempt to understand the situation.
This girl is awesome, I love her expression!
One of the cutest dogs I've had the pleasure to photograph during my street walks. Looking all wet and cuddly.
She took a moment from her friend's initiated group selfie to give me this gem. Thank you so much.
A friend holds back another in an attempt to save him a trip to the county. The police warned to break it up or get in the cuffs. Do you wanna go to jail, or do you wanna go home?
An Austin icon, I had to capture this in all it's Gotham splendor. The sky was full of rain clouds and gave me some great color.
This is what I love about street photography. It's these magical moments where people give themselves to you. As I crossed the street, I noticed her and had to shoot her look. Just the right amount of fashion sense and gangsterism. She was in a hurry to leave, trying to catch up with her friend back there, but still took time to give me some gold. She yelled her name out as she walked out. With a name like Hannah Tropicana, I didn't even need to write it down Thanks, Hannah.
I didn't catch her name, but this one was smart. I caught a quick photo of her and when I saw her aknowledge me, I stepped closer for a few more. After holding still and letting me snap a few, she had me shoot a sticker on her purse of her band, J and The 9's. Genius. It was so easy to find her after, more musicians should emply this simple tactic when being photographed. Thanks yo.
Lastly, we have Austin's finest meeting San Antonio's finest: my boy Zero catches a flik with Austin Police. This guy is the future and is already finessing current citizen-police beefs with ease. Zero is someone you want on your side if you need a good laugh.
